Sponsoring a child through Fields of life is a one-by-one and a one-to-one approach to helping a child. That’s where Fields of Life with your partnership assists the community. You will play a significant role in assisting a child to fulfil his or her God-given potential. By becoming a child sponsor, you are not only taking a step to concretely changing a child’s life for the better, but you will also be supporting their family and community as well. As a bonus, you will get the pleasure of following the progress of this child through their school years and to know that you have affected change in one child’s world.
Reasons to sponsor a child:
1. Fields of Life supports not only community-based projects such as child immunisation programmes, school building projects and providing safe, clean water supplies, but it facilitates a sponsor's one-to-one support of a child. Your funds are sent directly to that child safely through our Kampala office and is makes a real and tangible difference to the lives of children and to their families.
2. Many Irish families as well as several others abroad already sponsor children and receive regular updates from their sponsored child as well as photos and progress reports.
3. You are helping to reinforce the backbone of the community, because for every child sponsored, additional people affected. Once the child is educated, he or she will hopefully contribute to the growth and well being of that community in a positive, enriching fashion.
4. Fields of Life's is committed to other programmes which reinforce the welfare of the community as well as the child. However, the focus begins with the child and then moves to the village where the school is built, with programmes to ensure that there is clean drinking water, health and sexual education and an opportunity for entrepreneurial growth. These programmes exist to ensure that progress is sustained and that the benefits of this sponsorship are available to future generations.
