Be part of Gods work.
“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” - Matthew 28.18-19
“When it comes to world missions, there are only three kinds of Christians: zealous goers, zealous senders, and disobedient. Which will you be?” - John Piper
Need
At the core of Fields of Life is a passion to share the good news of Jesus. This led to the development of a program that allows you to sponsor a Church Planter in East Africa. We are hugely excited by the way God has used this program, blessing both the donors and the Church Planter as they work together to share the good news of Jesus. These men have a heart to see people saved, and will preach the good news anyway they can. They would benefit greatly from the prayer and financial support you or your church can provide, and it is our conviction that you will be blessed as you partner with them in this mission.
“Fields of Life has advanced the way I teach the Bible in the church. With the funds that I get I’m able to be transported to the children’s homes to follow them up. This is how it has helped my church.” - Isaac Ntale, Pastor, Kiswabugolobi Church
“I thank God for Fields of Life’s support and praise the Lord. I’m so excited for Fields of Life and I’m serving God as a happy man.” - Enoch Kyagulanyi, Pastor, Luzira Community Church
How You Can Help
Fields of Life is committed to developing a relationship between the donor and the church planter, built on communication and accountability. We are convinced that through a dialogue both parties will be given the opportunity to learn from each other. You will receive three letters throughout the year from the church planter you sponsor, outlining his work and what you can be praying for. You will be able to send letters or resources to the Church Planter at anytime through our East African Office.
Selection
All potential Church Planters are put through a stringent application process involving their sending church, the Field of Life selection committee and the donor. All applicants are required to have a diploma in theology from an approved Bible school. The church planter is required to have been in existence for no longer than a year, and under the authority and known by their sending church for a minimum of two. Before selection you are able to specify any preferences you might have for the training or approach of the pastor you wish to support.
Costs and Accountability
· The cost to support a Church Planter is £1000/€1500/AU$3000 per year
The money you pay goes to the East African Operations Office in Kampala. It is then given to the church planter. The money will be used to cover the wage of the pastor, as well as the start up costs for the church. Our UK Chief Accountant is sent a monthly report of the accounts of the church planter to be assessed. If reports are not submitted, subsequent payments are withheld. Once a year a final statement of accounts is assessed by the CEO and East African Office Manager, and is available to the sponsor. Support may be stopped immediately if there is a case of gross misconduct, for example:
· Failure to correspond to requests of Sending Church after repeated request
· Serious and un-repentant moral discretion
· Major theological discrepancies
· Refusal by the church planter to receive counsel or correction
