In October 2010, Fields of Life invited a team of 8 men, from Northern Ireland, to Uganda to witness first-hand the challenges and poverty the people of East Africa face on a daily basis.
The need in East Africa
Fresh and pure drinking water, easily accessible to local villages
The challenge for the team
The Water for Life Challenge is to raise a minimum of £200,000 over 2 years for Field’s of Life to purchase a second larger drilling rig and fund the first 25 wells dug with the new rig.
THE BIG AUCTION
The target for our “BIG AUCTION” is to raise £50,000 of the £200,000 above!
THE BIG ASK
Auction items – farm machinery / livestock / vintage / household items etc (values £20 - £2000 +!)
The event will take place on Thursday 16th June 2011 at a Family Fun Night held at 7 Cannagola Beg Road, Portadown, County Armagh.
Come along and support the team in their challenge to bring clean safe drinking water to the people of East Africa.
