Child Outreach Co-ordinator, Ugandan Office

"It has given me an opportunity to serve God in all areas of life."

School Life:

My name is Irene Mwesigwa Nkolenta. I studied in different parts of the country depending on where my Dad worked. First in western Uganda, Uganda Kilembe, Hima, Mbarara then later I went to Eastern Tororo and Soroti and completed in Kampala where I obtained a certificate and Diploma in Nursery teaching/Early childhood Education.

I was quiet and shy in my primary school but gained confidence at different levels. I had no nickname at school but at home I had one called Kadoogo which meant tiny because I used to be very small bodied.

Who most influenced your life?

The people who most influenced my life were my parents because they moulded me into what I am today.  Secondly, Mama Robinah (Mrs. Lubwama) spiritually played a big role; she taught me self - esteem, self- motivated and always aim at the best.

Family Life

Yes, I have a very big family. I am married to Kennedy Nkolenta with a daughter called Princess Anna Ayebare Precious. We happen to mother and father many other kids that have been through our care. My family feels proud of what I do in Fields of Life and some have accepted Christ because of what I am today.

Why did I join Fields of Life and how has working for FOL contributed to my relationship with God?

  • I joined FOL after FOL Academy was built when I began teaching.
  • Working with Fields of Life (especially Trevor and Ruth) have taught me humility.
  • I have met important people.
  • I have toured different parts of the country where schools are located.
  • It has enhanced my spiritual growth.
  • It has given me an opportunity to serve God in all areas of life.
  • I am confident in preaching everywhere I go - that includes the Monday devotions.
