Apwo Well is located in the Lira District in the Northern part of Uganda. This is an area that suffered greatly following conflict led by rebel group The Lord’s Resistance Army. Nearly 2 million people were displaced and an estimated 60,000 children were abducted.
This borehole will benefit 92 households with an average of 9 people per house, therefore bringing clean water to over 800 people.
