Having a safe, clean water source for the 120 households of Asinge Community, Tororo District, Eastern Uganda was great news for all the community members because they have not had access to safe, clean water for years and most of the community thought it was acceptable to walk a total of 3km just to be able to get water for an unprotected water source.
This exposed the community members to a number of risks related to consuming contaminated water, but they had no alternative but to live with this problem.
The new borehole is a more robust and better-quality water source. It is a blessing to Asinge Community and it will help to save lives. This was the 728th well completed by Fields of Life.
Thank you to the generous donor who has provided this life saving gift!
