Atapar borehole is located in Apeduru Sub County which is found in Amuria District in the North Eastern part of Uganda. In this area, consuming dirty water is a way of life and this has resulted in a number of children losing their lives to water related illnesses. The community had previously been walking 2km to access water from a contaminated shallow well.
This borehole will benefit 79 households each with an average of 9 members per household therefore bringing clean water to over 711 villagers!
Thank you to John Lunn for funding the Atapar Well.
