The Atik-A village is located in Aber Sub-County, Oyam District, Northern Uganda.
For water, the community here has been depending on a congested borehole which is 2km away in the nearby village. This meant that the community members were walking a total distance of 4km to access water and return home. As a result many community members, especially women and children, spent valuable hours in the day walking for water instead of attending school or working.
This new water source will change lives in the Atik-A community. It was the 704th well completed by Fields of Life and now provides clean water to 197 households.
Thank you to the generous donor who has provided this life saving gift!
