Awoyi is located in Bululu Sub-County, Kaberamaido District, Eastern Uganda.
The community had been depending on a congested borehole which was 3km away in the nearby village. This meant that the community had to walk a distance of 6km to access water and this would not only mean reduced time for the other domestic activities but also it was affecting economic activities.
The majority of the community members would resort to using a nearby open well because they could not afford the time to walk to the congested water source but this resulted in many falling sick due to water-related illnesses.
This new borehole is the 675th well completed by Fields of Life and it now provides clean water for 105 households. This will change their lives as they now have access to safe, clean water within their own community.
Thank you to the generous donor who has provided this life saving gift!
