Ayira-B is located in Loro Town Council, Oyam District in Northern Uganda where many people still have to share water sources with their animals and a sadly a number of children have been lost due to the consumption of contaminated water.
The Ayira-B community had been walking 2km to access water from a shallow unprotected well and this caused a lot of water-related problems that the community had to live with because they did not have any other alternative.
This borehole is the 702nd well completed by Fields of Life and now provides 64 households with fresh water. This will change lives within this community as people will have more time to go to school and work instead of walking for water. The risk of water-related illnesses and deaths is also greatly reduced.
Thank you to the generous donor who has provided this life saving gift!
