El Shaddai Primary School is located in the western region of Uganda in Kiruhura District were access to safe water is still a very big challenge and people still have to share water sources with their animals since almost every home engages in cattle keeping.
The school depended on three rainwater harvesting tanks and an open well at the foot of a hill. When the water in the tanks was used up, the pupils and surrounding community members would collect dirty water from the open well which often caused water-related illnesses.
Now, however, they have access to clean, safe drinking water. The El Shaddai Primary School well was the 663rd Fields of Life well drilled and now provides fresh water for the school, as well as 130 households.
Thank you to the generous donor who has provided this life saving gift!
