The Okobua Well is located in Bukedea district in Eastern Uganda where the consumption dirty water is a way of life.
Prior to the drilling of the borehole the community was surviving by drinking contaminated water from a hand-dug well. This resulted in many members of the community spending much of their small income on treating diseases and unfortunately a number of people lost their lives.
However, the new borehole is providing water for 115 households with an average of 9 people per household. That means that over 1,035 people in Okobua now have access to clean and safe drinking water.
Thank you to the generous donor who has provided this life saving gift!
