Olupe is located in Kumi District, where the majority of the community members had believed that access to safe, clean water was still a luxury because for generations they had been depending on water from contaminated water sources.
The community had been collecting water from an unprotected spring that was 1 km away. A lot of time was spent walking to the water source and so children were missing valuable hours in school.
This new water source has been very timely for this community and will make a huge positive impact on their lives. This was the 664th borehole drilled and now provides safe, clean water to 388 households.
Thank you to the generous donor who has provided this life saving gift!
