Aweibura Community in Loro Sub-County, Oyam District, Northern Uganda had been depending on a congested borehole 1km away from their village.
This has resulted in the community members using a lot of their time during the day to walk and queue to collect water, instead of attending school and carrying out domestic and economic activities. Sometimes people would be queuing for 2 hours at the borehole and fights often broke out.
The new water source will change lives for the community members because they no longer have to walk a total of 2km to collect water. This is the 710th borehole drilled by Fields of Life and it now provides clean water for 165 households.
Thank you to the generous donor who has provided this life saving gift!
