Onea-B community is located in Kamdini Sub-County in the Oyam District, Northern Uganda.
The community here had depended on an unprotected spring well that was full of contaminated water and caused many water-related illnesses. This water source was 2.5km away therefore the community members had to abandon other economic and domestic activities in order to collect water.
This borehole is the 715th well completed by Fields of Life and now provides 312 households with fresh water. This will change lives within this community as people will have more time to go to school and work instead of walking for water. The risk of water-related illnesses and deaths is also greatly reduced.
Thank you to the generous donor who has provided this life saving gift!
