We want to inform you that our East African Executive Director, Ednar Nyakaisiki has decided to move on after over 11 years in post with the organisation. Ednar worked initially as a finance manager before accepting the role of Executive Director in 2014.
Ednar took up this position a short time after a difficult period in the organisation’s history and we have been delighted to watch the Fields of Life team in East Africa stabilise and grow under her influence and leadership. Ednar has been instrumental in developing our work from mainly infrastructural work such as building schools and drilling wells to a broader programmatic input including Christian education, quality education and WASH programming which has impacted the lives of thousands of people in vulnerable communities in East Africa. Over the last 5 years, Fields of Life has been recognised officially by the Ministries of Education & Sports, Water & Sanitation and Gender in Uganda as a reliable, forward thinking and proactive NGO.
Ednar has decided after some reflection on her personal position and career that now is the time for her to move on to a new challenge. Ednar communicated this decision to Fields of Life leadership at the end of 2019 and remains with us until the end of March 2020. Ednar – whilst we are sorry to see you go, we want to say a huge thank you for your contribution over the years and for your servant heart and compassion. We know that God has big adventures instore for you. We will say a lot more at the end of March before you officially leave and celebrate your FOL journey then!
We wanted to make this communication as we are currently actively recruiting for a replacement. Please click the link below to access the job description for the role with applications being accepted until the 21st February 2020.
