The Hearing Hope Project, set up by Charlotte John, hosted a charity barn dance to raise money to drill a fresh water well for a remote community in Uganda.
We all dusted off our cowboy boots and enjoyed a hooting-tooting evening!!
The evening was held at the All Saints Church Hall in Whitstable and over 80 people joined in the fun and the evening raised in excess of £1,000.
We are delighted to be working in partnership with Charlotte and her husband Daniel John, their approach to fundraising is inspirational. During the summer the John family have undertaken a number of fundraising campaigns including boot-fairs, a quiz night and through our youngest ambassador Alfie, Welli Wednesday.
Their journey so far has received a great following of family and friends in the Herne Bay area, and includes a Boot Bank which collects pre-loved football kits and equipment that will early next year be making its way out to our schools across East Africa.
