Tell us a bit about yourself:
My name is Ednar Nyakaisiki, the Executive Director for Fields of Life East Africa.
I have previously worked as a Finance & Admin Manager and as a Secondary School Teacher.
I am blessed with a mother, 7 siblings (3boys and 4girls), 10 nieces and 6 nephew. I am a passionate advocate for Sanyu Babies Home where I volunteer on Sundays.
Tell us a fun fact:
Had a 2months military training at Kyankwanzi Military training School in 1993 before joining the teacher training college
When did you first get involved with Fields of Life and Why?
In December 2008, when the organization was growing so fast and a job was created for a finance manager. I joined as a Finance and Admin manager.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
My job is never the same. Each day is different but seeing how God works through Fields of Life to transform communities in East Africa brings joy to my work.
What’s been the most exciting thing since you started?
Being promoted from a “number cruncher” Finance Manager to the Executive Director has been the most exciting thing that has happened since I started
