Meet Graham Hohn

Graham has been a faithful supporter of Fields of Life for many years, so we were delighted when he joined the team as a volunteer in the role of Development and Fundraising Co-Ordinator, Republic of Ireland. Please join us in welcoming Graham into this new role and pray that God will open doors and create lots of new opportunities.

We asked Graham a few questions so that you could get to know him better…

Tell us a bit about yourself:

I am happily married to Gill with three children Ryan, Sam and Rachel. I currently work in the insurance industry, having joined it in early 1986. My hobbies include playing the piano, walking my dogs, hockey umpiring and playing golf when time allows it. I have a dislike for gardening for some reason!

Tell us a fun fact about yourself:

I will always try to bring some humour to most situations I find myself in!

When did you first get involved with Fields of Life and why?

I met with a good friend of mine, Derek Bradshaw, about 12 years ago for a business meeting in his office. On his desk, I noticed a Fields of Life brochure and I gently mentioned during our meeting that I always had an ambition to visit Africa as part of some building project. Two months later I found myself in the middle of Uganda with the Barnabas Ministries team as we built staff accommodation for a school…and the rest is history!

What is your favourite thing about your role within Fields of Life?

Travelling to Uganda on Fact Finding Missions.

What’s been the most exciting thing since you started?

It has been both exciting and an honour to personally meet the teams that work tirelessly behind the scenes of Fields of Life in both Ireland and Uganda.

What three words would you use to describe yourself?

Yes I can!
