Prossy Nakimbugwe joined Fields of Life in 2006 and now she manages Emmaus Guesthouse in Kampala, Uganda. Here’s what you need to know about Prossy:
Tell us a bit about yourself?
My name is Proscovia Nakimbugwe, I am 45 years old. I am the Manager of Emmaus Guesthouse in Kampala.
Tell us a fun fact?
I left my invitation letter to Ireland in Uganda when I was coming to Ireland and I thought was going to be denied entry into the country. Thankfully we were able to print off new copies and we had no issues when we reached Dublin.
When did you first get involved with Fields of Life and why?
I joined Fields of Life in 2006 when I applied for a job in the guesthouse.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
The benefits we get, for exmaple medical insurance, staff welfare each month and child sponsorship.
What has been the most exciting thing since you started?
The professionalism in Fields of Life work, before I joined FOL I didn’t experience this in places where I worked. I salute Fields of Life.
I have also visited the head office in Northern Ireland.
What 3 words would you use to describe yourself?
Respectful, Hardworking and Co-operative.
