Tell us a bit about yourself:
I am a firm believer that I was made for more. I wasn’t made to merely live but to thrive. Therefore, from time to time, I challenge myself and confront my fears because I know that my best begins at the end of my fears. I continually live in hope that my story is still unfolding and therefore I am excited each day to be alive!!
I also love African print materials, shoes, bright colours, dancing and taking photos – in no particular order.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself:
My singing voice could win a Grammy under the worst singing voice ever category.
When did you first get involved with Fields of Life and why?
I first got involved with Fields of Life in October 2018 when I was called up by the Executive Director Ednar for a chat. The chat progressed into a job interview and later a job offer.
I accepted the assignment of Communication Consultant because I believe that God wanted me to take the position. Secondly, I believe that every individual is put on this planet to help and inspire others. I am therefore very passionate about inspiring people, especially girl children, to greatness. When I looked at Fields of Life’s vision and mission, I was convinced that it is in line with my goals and principles.
What is your favourite thing about your role within Fields of Life?
Working with staff and departments within the organisation to bring their interventions to life through stories, photos and videos is very exciting!
What’s been the most exciting thing since you started?
It has to be meeting the numerous children from vulnerable backgrounds whose lives have been positively impacted by Fields of Life interventions, especially child sponsorship. It is simply amazing. The best feeling in the world.
What 3 words would you use to describe yourself?
Focused, honest and spirited.
