The team at Parenta Trust have been busy and are delighted to announce that the construction of their 3rd and 4th nursery schools has progressed as planned. The third school was built in the Wakiso District of Uganda in the grounds of Kiti Parents Primary School, and work on the fourth pre-school is currently underway in the Kasese District of Uganda, with builders already laying bricks. The pre-school occupies the same site as Nyakabale Church of Uganda Primary School, making it easier for youngsters to transition from nursery to primary school.
Allan Presland, CEO of Parenta and a trustee of the charity, said of the two new schools: “We were excited to travel to Uganda in early November to open our two new nursery schools. Once completed we will have helped around 800 disadvantaged children to receive a nursery education. My thanks go to everyone who has supported us with this outstanding achievement.”
The challenge is now set to fund the build of the 5th nursery school… maybe you would like to get involved and join us on the Parenta Trust Rally from Maidstone to Monaco? We will be setting off on the 21st June 2017. “It’s a fantastic road trip and helps transform the lives of vulnerable children living in extreme poverty” commented Parenta Trust Chairman, Andrew Cooper. “We are truly astounded with the support we’ve received and the friendships we’ve made. The Rally is enormous fun for a tremendous cause”.
