Upskilling Uganda is an exciting venture and partnership between the South Eastern Regional College (SERC) and Fields of Life, with the objective to build and equip a new Vocational Training Institute in the under-developed region of Northern Uganda, where not everyone has even the opportunity for primary education.
SERC hope to enrich, transform and inspire the lives of those living in Northern Uganda by providing an opportunity for students from Field of Life schools to pursue a vocational education at a new purpose-built Vocational Training Institute.
In order to raise the necessary funds to build and equip the College SERC are hosting ‘Africa Rising’ on the 24th November at 7.30pm in SPACE, Castle Park Road, Bangor.
‘Africa Rising’ will be a night of music and performance which will tell the story of Upskilling Uganda; featuring Peter Corry, Releasing Rhythms, Harmony Too, Open Arts Community Choir, the Glass Umbrella Theatre Company, Lisburn Community Choir and many more.
