The Well Good Campaign was the inspiration of Anita Brightley-Hodges, MD of Family Business Place, following a trip to Uganda with FOL to view our work on the ground. Well Good is working in partnership with FOL to bring fresh clean water to remote communities in post conflict East Africa who desperately need it. Through its fantastic network of Family Businesses, The Red Ribbon Awards and under-taking extreme treks, the Well Good Campaign has funded the drilling 18 boreholes across Northern Uganda.
We have been supported by some truly wonderful organisations and we would like to give thanks to: Bennett Opies Ltd, Medway Bridge Marina, Boodles, James Caan Foundation, Shepherd Construction, Downers Design, St Peter’s Church, Ditton Parish Council, Component Force, STORM Watches, David Best, Westons Cider, Sweetpea and Willow, Sahara Warriors, Rosedale Funeral Homes and not forgetting Family Business Place.
Sam Dallas from Medway Bridge Marina commented on why they got behind the campaign: “Not only will you be helping a great cause, it’s also a great chance to have fun with your team and a brilliant PR story for your business. It’s simple to get involved, just start fundraising and you too can make a huge difference to the lives of others.”
Anita and her team are currently planning a trek across Patagonia early next year to raise more funds and awareness for the FOL Water programme. If you would like to get involved then please don’t hesitate to contact us.
